It has been six months and I am feeling great! This was seriously the best thing I've ever done for myself. Going from a size 18 pants and 1x shirts (weighing 135) to a now size 8 pants and S/M shirts (weighing 150) is unbelievable. When you're overweight it's hard to imagine what that would actually be like...I can tell you... It's fantastic! I have a whole new confidence and shopping has never been more fun. My experience of traveling from WI to Mexico wasn't an easy decision and it took allot of courage. The surgery itself was fine. I'm not going to lie, it's not a US hospital so it was very different and even scary at times, but I think everyone can agree that the medical industry in the US goes completely overboard on everything just to make a buck. The care I received at the hotel post op was great and I only really had one day of feeling a bit sick. Worth it! This probably added years to my life, but it gave me the kind of life that I never would have lived without going through with it. Couldn't be happier with my recovery and my decision.
