I had my sleeve surgery on March 8, 2014 with Dr Almanza. Everything went as expected and I was not caught off guard by anything. It helped that I'm a resident of the San Diego area and have spent a lot of time in Tijuana.

My wife accompanied me and the accommodations at the Ticuan were nice. She enjoyed the restaurant and was given rides to/from the hospital and hotel when ever she needed.

The hospital isn't what you'd expect north of the border, but is clean, the staff is great and it serves its purpose.

I was fortunate and didn't have any pain or nausea following surgery and am doing very well since.

I would certainly recommend Dr Almanza to anyone considering weight loss surgery and wish you all the best in your journey.
