I am 2 months and 2 weeks post op. down from 183 to 160, and already my blood pressure and knees are showing great signs of improvement. I have hypothyroidism, and it keeps me from loosing weight for the past 15yrs, and the sleeve totally dissolved that dilemma. I found the trip to the doctor and the stay in the facility comfortable, but scary in that I rarely travel alone, especially to another country. However, the comradery of other sleevers and the kindness and professional staff and assistants, quickly put my mind at ease. I only had a 32% BMI and many people tried to discourage me from doing this. NOW they are in agreement with my choice after seeing how improved my health and outlook are. If you are on the fence about whether or not to do this, I say go for it. You may never have a second chance to receive help improving your health so effortlessly again. You will have to change how you eat for the rest of your life, but you will still be able to enjoy food. You just need to eat less and try to eat for nutrition more than taste and texture.
