I am a 47 year old MAN, 6'2", starting weight 271 lbs, BMI 33. I had the gastric sleeve surgery on 11/17/2014, one month ago, and have lost 45 lbs. Dr. Almanza, the hospital, nurses, and staff were all fantastic, and the care was excellent! I stayed only three days, which was probably too short. I had a minor complication, stayed in the hospital two nights and did not stay at the hotel. I recommend a longer day stay to enjoy the very nice hotel and Mexico. I choose Dr. Almanza after an internet search, talking with Weight Loss Agents, and several competitors. I wanted my wife to have the procedure at the same time. She was unsure of going to Tijuana. I returned alive, and now thinner and healthier. But, be aware of some side effects such as bad mood. I was mad at everything for the first two weeks. I am getting used to the new diet and looking forward to exercise. My wife is now reassured, everything posted about the Dr. Almanza experience is true. She is booked for her sleeve in January. None of my clothes fit, except shoes, and they do feel better.
