If I would of known that recovery time is so fast I would of done this a long time ago. My name is Melissa I am 32 years old and one hundred pounds overweight. I found my self in a place that I could not do this on my own. I decided to do the lap band procedure on July 25,2015 with DR. Almanza in Tijuana Mexico. This was the best decision I have done for my self. Recovery has been so fast I never thought I would be so easy. I honestly had about 2 rough nights that was it. My starting weight was 263 lbs. I started my clear liquid diet 3days before my surgery, so It has been 22 days into my journey and today my weight is 233 a total weight loss of 30lbs. I am so happy I can't believe it. I guess if you really want something you can do it. I have not had a fill yet but I do have my appointment to get one next week YAY!!
Yes, this whole surgery was super scary but I love myself and I love my 3 kids. I want to be a better mom and live longer for them. I had to sacrifice my self and be a little selfish to be able to do this. I want to thank Dr. Almanza and his team and
