My testimonial is this: It was a very hard surgery to go through. If I had known what I was going to be experiencing I would have never done this. Now, however, I'm glad because I am off of a lot of medications and can walk better. For me, physically speaking, I am much healthier. Weight loss has not been dramatic, but steady. This is what I want. I get tired a lot and sleep. But I expected this. As a nurse, I know protein is number 1 in healing wounds. I can't get enough due to being unable to tolerate protein shakes. My protein intake is about 60g/day. My GP does not really support what I did, but he sees my blood pressure, blood glucose down WNL. End result: I am two months post op (almost) and have lost around 25 lbs. I didn't expect dramatic loss because I only have another 20-25 lbs to go. I am currently trying to get B-12 injections monthly because the B-12 sublinguals aren't giving me relief from tiredness. Anyway, I am glad I did this and didn't know ahead of time how much pain would be involved because in the end, I will look back and say it was the best thing I did for myself.
