Family & Friends, On the health front, I'm well. At age 62, I've shed 108 lbs in the 6 months since the gastric sleeve 45 min. procedure. I have ~17 lbs to go to my target weight. The co-morbidities of high body-mass index, adult-onset diabetes and sleep apnea are in the past. For my other two co-morbidities, they continue to be successfully controlled by blood pressure medication and cholesterol medication. For the cholesterol area, I had a successful annual checkup earlier this month with my cardiologist. I'm scheduled for my next annual check-up a year from now. For the blood pressure area, my prescription medication dose has been cut in half. I'm scheduled for a 6 month checkup with my general practitioner in 08/15. I've started a prescription medication of Ferrous Sulfate, as my blood iron is in the low end of the normal range. This is sometimes a precaution after gastric sleeve surgery. I'm also taking normal nutritional supplements: Multiple Vitamin Vitamin B12 Vitamin D3 Krill Oil (Omega 3 fatty acid) Thank you all for your support and empowerment as I strengthen my health pillar. Be well, Dom Lovallo.
