I had my gastric sleeve surgery on January 10th, 2014. Prior to my surgery I had taken the blood thinner warfarin. Prior to my surgery my doctor told me I no longer needed to take the medication. On January 22nd I developed a large clot which resulted in a foot of my intestines being removed. Please make sure you question your doctors prior to your surgery.
With the additional surgery I have lost 53 pounds since my surgery. I need to lose an additional 90 pounds but 53 pounds has already changed my life. I can say for the first time in 30 years I feel good about myself and knowing that it is only going to get better is priceless.
If I had to do it all again I promise that I would. I am thankful for the affordable option that Dr. Almanza offers. I know telling people that you are going to have surgery in Tijuana Mexico makes everyone pretty scared BUT this is your life and this is life altering.
This after everything I have been through was the best decision I have made for myself in my adult life. Don't be afraid just do it!
