I am so happy that I made the decision to have this surgery done! Dr. Almanza and his staff were amazing! Coming from Canada I was a bit worried about crossing two borders to have this done, but it was worth it! The drivers that transported us were fabulous, so was the hotel staff! The hotel was great, the nurses on staff were awesome as well. The day of surgery Dr. Almanza and staff greeted us, they explained what was going to happen and helped get us ready. I was the first to go in that day for surgery, and they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. While in recovery the nurses there were great, they helped me into bed and when I was cold the brought me another blanket and tucked me in, any questions I had the answered for me. The hotel recover was wonderful, the rooms were super nice, and the beds were so comfy! The nurses there took great care of us, answered my questions, help change bandages, and brought me apple juice, and popsicles. I am 8 weeks post op, had no issues or complications, I am 5"7 starting weight was 282lbs. Right now at (8wks post op) I weigh 232lbs, I'm down 50 lbs!!! I couldn't be happier with how things are going, I feel so much better about myself!! I can't wait till I hit my goal weight and to buy new clothes!!! I feel like a whole new person
