This is a major life changing event! I am 27 years old and born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana. I was obese, unhappy, unhealthy, and ready for a change . I weighed 368 Lbs. I could never seem to stop my urges to eat. I researched gastric sleeve surgery and i found Dr. Almanza. I was impressed with his good reviews and his success rate. I made a decision to travel to Mexico for the gastric sleeve surgery. I arrived in Tijuana with anxiety and almost a sense of regret. But that went away when i saw how many other people were there with me to have surgery. I prayed to Jesus to get me through this and he did. The staff at the hospital were wonderful. The Head nurse spoke great English and i could tell that she knew what she was doing. The hotel was great and the best part was the hotel was full of people just like me from America here to have surgery. We all became friends and comforted each other. The day i had surgery was the day my life changed. I awoke from surgery and i m not gonna lie that was the worst day of the whole experience. The pain was not bad at all witch was great. the only reason that that day was bad was because of the gas. the gas was the mildly painful but mostly uncomfortable. the second day was much better i was feeling great and ready for my weight loss journey. The next three days i spent in the hotel. The nurses came twice a day to clean the stitches and empty the drain. The level of care was great because they had my health in their best interest. I appreciate everything that they did for me. Im writing this because I want to encourage people who are searching for an answer. This was my answer and im so grateful for it. Im writing this 34 days after my surgery. In the past month Ive lost 60 Lbs. I have been feeling great and i encourage whoever is reading this to say yes im ready for a change and go for it. Jesus is Lord of my life and this journey was ordained by him . May God bless all of yall on Dr Almanzas staff and all who have this procedure.
