I was laying in bed one night looking down at my body and feeling so depressed about how I looked and felt. I starting looking online and came upon the Weight Loss Agents site of Dr. Almanza and decided to check into it further. At first, I kind of blew it off like everyone probably does, oh I can do it, I will try harder, I will start tomorrow and a new diet will come along to make me thin -- well none of these things happened. So I jumped on the plane to San Diego after I made my appointment with Dr. Almanza, did my week fast to shrink my liver and away I went. I had my blood work done the Friday that I arrived after being picked up in a nice limo and dropped off at Hospital Jeruselum. The next morning about 5 of us went in a group to get the procedure done. I was the last one because I chose to have my gall bladder out and it was a little bit more extensive. I woke up about an hour or so later, was in some discomfort but nothing major. First night you spend in the hospital and mostly sleep and take your prescribed pain meds. It was nothing that bad, sore but bearable. You have to get up to walk around and get the gas out and the next day we all got up and they took us back to the hospital. I chose to buddy up with another girl and we were in the hotel together recovering. The nurses brought us everything we needed, came and checked on us several times and we even made a lot of new friends during the procedure. I had the drains removed the second day and after that I continued to improve every hour more and more. I was feeling pretty good by the time it was time to go home and then I did take off 5 weeks from work because I had the vacation and was a little older. My starting weight was 315 lbs and I am 5'7 and today a year and 3 months later I am at 195. It has been so worth the journey and I went from a 26-24 to a 14-16 in clothes and am loving life. Having my sleeve procedure was the happiest day of my life and I would do it again in a second. If you want to lose a 130 lbs in a year, it is the best thing.
