My surgeon was Dr. Almanza and everything went very well. I started my liquid diet on June 10th and had my surgery on June 21st. The after surgery healing is the hardest part, especially if you have a busy life style like I do. When they send you with instructions, there's a reason for them. Do yourself a favor and follow them to the letter. My weight is falling off of me (42 lbs down ) and I am doing all the intructed steps in this healing process. The staff and everyone from the hospital to the hotel were wonderful. My only complaint is the car rides, especially after the surgery, VERY bumpy.
This is a PERSONAL JOURNEY and only you can make this decision, but my thoughts are only tell your closest people, huband, wife and parents. If you share with too many, they always have reasons NOT to do it. I have no regretts and I love that I met some very incredible women who were there for the same reason. We were all changing our lives for the better. I will always be greatful for that.
