I've struggled with my weight all my life. My last child at 42 was the last straw. After stops and starts with dieting, working out, diet pills, trainers, gyms and self loathing. Why can't I control this!!! Look, I know others can do it without a sleeve but after 11 years of working at it, I came to the realization that there are forces here I can't overcome without help. I've had the surgery on 12/18/15 and so far so good! Almost two weeks, I've lost 22 lbs, including the preop diet. I know this will work! I chose to have the surgery at TJ Bariactric with Dr. Almanza. The staff was caring and Dr. Almanza very encouraging. The hospital was small but clean and equiped as needed. The nurses were responsive at the hotel after discharge. After a few days we took a cab to a local market that was a slice of Mexican culture.
I'm looking forward to the future losses and already I feel better!!
