I was a doubter and I even judged others that had this surgery because I thought it was a crazy idea to fly all the way across the country and then go across the boarder into Mexico for surgery at a hospital and a doctor I had never met! Then I started seeing the results of the others that I had judged, I started to do a lot of research on the subject. I changed my mind and once I committed to the journey I never looked back and could not be happier with the results. I tipped the scale at 401 the day I started the prep diet. I Weighed 382 at the hospital weigh in the day before surgery. Now just eight weeks post op, I am down to 340 and 8" off my waist already! 100 more to go, but I have no doubt that I will get there in the next 12 months. I feel 100 times better than before surgery and have already gotten off my blood pressure and cholesterol med. Had blood work done at my family doctor last week and he was so happy he even gave me a hug (that never happened before) lol!

AS for the Dr. Almanza and Baja hospital, everything was very clean and safe and the staff was very friendly and probably gave better service than any US hospital I have ever been in! We were picked up at the airport on time and taken to the hospital with just a short ride across the boarder. I have nothing bad to say about our experience, oh yeah, my wife went with me and we had surgery on the same day. She is 20+ year emergency room nurse in the US and she had no issues with the hospital or the procedure. Her progress an experience is just as drastic as mine!
