I was sleeved the first time in 2012 weighing in at 210lbs. I lost 85 lbs within the first year. Life was great!!! I decided to further my career at that point and become a Corrections Officer. I had already worked at the jail for 10 years as a civilian. My husband also worked there 17 years. I completed the physically challenging corrections training and never felt better in my life!
On April 30th 2014, our lives were changed forever. My husband and I were both in a natural gas explosion at work due to a flood breaching the gas lines in the basement of the jail. I made it out withough a scratch. My husband, however, was severely injured. He is now paralyzed from the chest down. I spent the next eight months by his side in a hospital 300 miles from home. I slept on a couch in his room and ate out of the vending machines or fast food. Needless to say, I gained a significant amount of weight back. I contacted Dr Almanza's office and inquired about a resleeve.
It was approved and I booked it immediately. Thank you Dr Almanza for second chance at a healthy life!!! The experience was wonderful! Great nurses and staff! I have already referred several friends
