I was a little scared after the surgery as they are not coddlers like we are in the US. I knew I was safer in Tijuana than in US as the money they are making is unreal and hurting an Amercan citizen could ruin them. In the US if they screw up, oh well, but there, you are their livelihood. That said, take someone with you to advocate for you and care for you cause once they have done the surgery you are pretty much on your own to heal. It's not painful, just scary. However, I have lost about 80 pounds and feel and look great. I haven't lost as much as some people, but I work out and have really pushed to turn fat into muscle and have skin reabsorb so I wouldn't have sagging skin. I also don't follow their eating plan, but I look and feel great. I wish I had done this when I was in my 30s or sooner. Good luck and enjoy your new life.
