I had my sleeve done on 03/18/18. I arrived on the 18th with my surgery actually scheduled for the 19th and the hospital personnel informed me upon arrival that I would be getting my surgery done that day instead. So that was shock number one but I was excited. I was given a private room since I was the first patient to arrive. It had an amazing view of Tijuana. I was told several times that my surgery would be in an hour, well around 6 hours after I was told I was getting surgery I had my surgery. All went smooth and the doctors and nurses were friendly and knew what they were doing. I was supposed to stay the whole time in the hospital but after my first night I was moved to the hotel as they didn t have enough room in the hospital. The hotel was iffy at best. You d have to call the nurses station and be told to wait 20 minutes and they d come only to never come and have to call again. That was fairly annoying When they were an hour late for giving you the pain medication or food (water and jello cups). So despite my iffy services while I was there, I would do it all over again. I am down 23 pounds as of today, which has been 3 weeks (counting 1 week of pre diet). If you re considering getting the surgery I would, just bring a guest that can make up for the slack of the nurses and other hospital personnel.
