I was super anxious prior to the surgery and the people from the weight lost center kept me focused so I wouldn t back out, thank gosh. There were no glitches at all, my Mom and I went together, and we were met at the airport by the van without any difficulty. We checked into the hotel, the front desk people were awesome, our room number was 203, which faced the main road.
I would have to say to Dr Mario Almanza that they change hotels, because Wednesday through Saturday across the street there is a nightclub that starts their music at incredible decimals from 11pm to 5am, it is soooooooo difficult to sleep. I would like him to sleep in room 203 one night to try it out, during the club night. There is no way in the states that it would be accepted to have that kind of noise level.
The other complain I have with the hotel is the restaurant and I even hate to give it that much credit. My Mom went down there the first night to order a plain chicken salad, she said there were 4 waiters in there and it took 45 minutes for her to get it. She did complain to the front desk and they said they were sorry. One of the other patients I talked to the next morning was crying, because she was all alone and she had ordered broth and they never delivered it. The night before we left, I ordered room service for my Mom, a pasta dish and a glass of wine about 630pm, guess what? They never delivered it!! Now I have ordered a lot of room service in my life, I have gotten great food, bad food, cold food, wrong food, but NEVER EVER NO FOOD. I mean what the hell is wrong with them. At this point please just give me another testimonial because this hotel restaurant is such bullshit that it has nothing to do with my surgery but ruined the stay/hotel part of the trip. Whoever runs it needs to be fired. Dr Almanza needs to know this because as wonderful as he is, it reflects poorly upon him.
