The overall experience was great. I was very skeptical and nervous about scheduling surgery in Mexico. The process was awesome; they always kept you informed of what to expect next. The friendships you make through the whole process are unforgetable. The care I received was great just like in the U.S if not better. I am 3 weeks post-op the gastric sleeve and have lost 25 lbs. I feel great; I am not tired at all. I have no more swelling in my legs. The diet for the first few weeks are hard. I'm not hungry at all it's hard because i am just used to putting food in my mouth and want to taste food. Although after weighing and seeing the awesome quick weight loss results and feeling so much better the surgery and doing without food for a few weeks is totally worth it. You are not totally without food you can have broth, popsicles, jello. I would totally recommend the gastric sleeve and Dr. Almanza to anyone thinking about it.
