I learned about this procedure and Dr. Almanza and his staff from a friend. Being from Canada I was a bit hesitant about travelling out of country for medical treatment. After receiving all my pre and post procedure literature along with the photo package of the facility I was quite at ease with my decision to proceed.
At the clinic before the procedure everything that was going to happen was explained in a manner that was easy to understand. The stay overnight in the clinic was comfortable and the staff were great. The two day hotel stay was equally good. Having the ability to have a nurse come to your room instead of having to return to the clinic for dressing changes and the like was very convenient. It was nice to be able to go down to the hotel kitchen and get what meal items were needed. It was obvious that the staff were aware of the needs of the patients and were ready to help make the recovery process easier.
From start to finish Dr. Almanza and the clinic and hotel staffs were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone contemplating this type of procedure.
I was back at work within a week and am happily losing pounds!
