After battling with my weight for years, I stumbled onto an ad for weightloss surgery...in Mexico! I must say I was intrigued but also cautious. I did a lot of research in travel medicine, of Jerusalem Hospital, of Dr. Almanzo, of weightloss surgery and it's pros and cons. I watched hundreds of videos on YouTube and read hundreds of blogs and joined a few forums. I then took a leap of faith. This is hands down the best money I have EVER spent. My experience at Jerusalem hospital was a good one. There is a bit of a wait for the actual surgery to begin depending on your place in line, as there are surgeries all day. I however found the staff to be courteous and efficient. Post op you will wake up in pain, which is managed overnight at the hospital which is located in a strip mall much like some dental offices in the US. After being moved to the recovery house, where you will likely share a room with another guest, the pain is managed around the clock by several nurses. When the meds begin to wear off you will wonder whether you made the first decision, but if your experience goes anything like mine, just wait it out, it's so worth it. I would recommend Jerusalem Hospital to those who are seriously looking for a more cost effective way around weightloss surgery and looking to get their lives back. It is hard work though. This is not an EASY out, not at all. You have to earn it. I am almost a year in and the real work is about to begin - maintaining the weight! Take the first year to deal with any unhealthy relationships with food so this would be a one time fix. If you are on the fence though, do your research, it helped me make my decision, and based on my experience, I would do it again in a heart beat!
