My husband had the gastric sleeve done here 2 yrs. ago, and had amazing results...so I decided it was my turn. I don't have a lot to lose (about 40 lbs.), but it is so worth it! It's been 2 wks., and I've already lost 15 lbs. I've already stopped taking several prescription medications, for blood pressure and acid reflux. Yes, I want to lose weight to look better & feel better about myself, but my decision to do this was mainly for health reasons. I know getting the excess weight off will lower and help keep my blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and cholesterol in the normal range. I want to be healthy enough to enjoy our grandkids!

Dr. Almanza & staff are very informative, caring, and helpful! They take such good care of their patients, at the hospital and after you go to the hotel. They have a nurse at the hotel 24/7 to look after patients after their 1 night stay at the hospital. Not once did I feel like a number, or unimportant to them! Someone was always there to answer questions or get whatever we needed. The hotel staff was great also!

I have absolutely no regrets for having this surgery! Yes, you're uncomfortable for the first 3 days after surgery due to gas pain, and the first 1-2 wks. where your sutures are. And it is a little difficult at times to stick to their instructions for diet. But if you follow their instructions carefully, things will go much better for you. Once the sutures are out, and you are able to start taking in small amounts of food, it gets easier by the day. All this is a small price to pay to have a more healthy & happy future!
