I had the gastric sleeve surgery on 10-31-14. As of today, 12-23-14, I have lost approximately 35 pounds. I really haven't had any issues. At first, it was hard to swallow even liquids, but after a few weeks, that went away and eating soft solids became easier. At this point, my 5 small abdominal incisions are healed; and, now I am simply using a scar fade cream on them. I am really glad that I had the surgery. I am feeling so much better and more energetic minus the 35 pounds. I have about 60-65 more pounds to lose to get to my final goal weight; but, I have had a good head start in the past 6 weeks or so, as I am one third of the way there already.
