I had my gastric sleeve surgery four weeks ago, im already down 34 lbs! My experience with Dr. Almanza and all the staff was great. Everybody was super friendly. I went by myself and met some great people here as well, I never felt scared that I went alone because your never alone. You do everything as a group. The hotel is beautiful we even went walking around the area to local shops. I plan to go back in a year or two and get the mommy makeover.
After surgery it is important to have your gas x strips and to walk. There is alot of pressure from trapped air/gas and walking is really the only relief you will get. Other than that I was fine as far as pain goes. I went back to work as a nurse 2 weeks after surgery.I was tired but I handled it ok. At four weeks post vsg I feel great! I love my sleeve. If your afraid of traveling to mexico for this surgery dont be. They are fantastic!
