When I started this journey my highest weight had teetered between 200 and 285. My life was going downhill rapidly and I was getting bigger and bigger by the weeks. I know there needed to be a change. With many failed diets something had to give and fast. I went in for a consult with a doctor who I was referred to by a few people in my local area and was devastated when I found out that my current insurance would not cover the surgery. I didn't know what I was going to do at this point. All kinds of thoughts were racing in my head maybe the surgery is just not for me. I started researching and came across Dr. Almanza. I scheduled my surgery. The center was awesome and if I had to do it all over again I would return in a heartbeat. The facility was clean and everyone was very friendly....they assisted with any questions throughout the entire process.
