I am 5'6" and was 225 pounds, I feel fat, lazy, and was so disappointed and sad with myself. I researched several places and I found that Dr. Velazquez would be my best choice. When I arrived in San Diego I was greeted by a very kind driver who took me straight to the hospital for a same day surgery. I am not gonna lie and say I wasn't scared and nervous but everyone was so kind and helpful at the hospital. My overnite stay was a bit rough because I had such bad nauseous but once I was taken to the hotel it was a completely different atmosphere. The hotel is super nice, and spacious. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are very clean. You have your own personal nurse, mine was Alex and she was the kindest most knowledgeable person (other than your doctor) that I meet thus far. She would check on me constantly, kept me hydrated with apple juice, and Popsicles. I really enjoyed my stay and I am so happy that I choose to get this surgery!! I am only 3 weeks out and I have already lost 33 pounds.. I still have another 30 to go but I know I will be there soon!!
