I decided to have the surgery for health reasons. I am a diabetic and my readings were out of control. I had to increase my insulin frequently. When I increased my insulin the more weight I would gain. Not to mention all the other medication I was on. I kept thinking what am I doing to my body. I was concern about what was to come as I got older.
So I decided to enroll. I was excepted. My friend had the procedure done a year before me. She told me about her experience and how clean the facility and how friendly the staff is. A year later this past July I had my procedure. I'm down thirty pounds and I just started my 6th week. My reading for my diabetes are a lot lower. I'm working with my doctor and keeping records on my health; high blood pressure, cholesterol, in order to get off the medication I'm on or decreasing amount I'm taking. The intake of the insulin I'm taking has really decreased since my weight loss.
The experience I had with the surgery was wonderful. I had zero complications. The facility was excellent. The staff was every nice and helpful.
