My name is Ucona Carter I am 34 years old. I had the Gastric Sleeve surgery on Sept 28 2012. At the time on the surgery I weighted 360 pounds. I had High blood pressure and was borderline Diabeteic at the time of the surgery and would get out of breath just walking from my house to my mailbox. Today is Dec 26 2012 and since the surgery I have lost 55 pounds I do not have to take my blood pressure meds anymore and the Diabetes is not a worry any more. I can also tell the difference when going out to the movies or out to eat because I can fit in the seats when before I had to sit on the edge because I couldn't fit. I was so nerves about the surgery but everyone at Dr. Almanza's and Jerusalem Hospital were so great they made me feel real comfrontable. I am so glad I choose to go ahead and have the surgery there even after the surgery they called to check on me to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything.
