I have to thank Dr. Almanza for giving me a new life. Prior to my surgery I was an old woman suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. The aches and pains caused by medication, plus the stress on my ankles from the excessive weight, left me unable to exercise or even walk for extended periods of time.

Today, I may be a few years older, however, I feel like a teenager. I am free of all medication, as both my blood pressure & glucose levels are on the low side...Yes, you heard that right! Also, I attend Zumba classes twice weekly and my husband & I have been exploring the fun of ballroom dancing. On a recent 10-day trip to Italy, I walked over 6 miles a day, touring all over the country...Prior to my surgery, I toured soley by bus or taxi, missing the interactions with the locals, which made this vacation so special!

Without my gastric sleeve, I know that none of these changes would have been possible. It is over two years since my surgery and with this amazing tool, I am able to maintain my weight and stay as healthy and happy as a young girl; yay for me!
