I do not know where to start. My story starts a long time ago. I had the lap band done in January 2008. While it worked and helped me to lose weight, it also caused many bad side effects. I had recently been diagnosed with the beginning of liver and kidney failure. My PCP recommended that I have the gastric sleeve done and remove my band, however my insurance would not cover the procedure. My PCP also recommended that I look into Dr. Almanza's services. I happen to have a few friends that have also used him for their surgeries. Within one month, I had my revision done.
I would like to emphasize that this was one of the hardest yet best decisions I have made. The doctor and nursing staff were so courteous. I did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe at anytime of my trip. The motel and motel staff were exceptionally clean and kind.
