I made the decision to get a gastric sleeve after years of working out dieting and still no improvement. I was working out 5-6 days a week with my weight loss staying at 7 lbs. after a solid year of working out religiously. I talked with friends that had had this done, prayed and talked with my boyfriend and family at great lengths. I will say that you need the support from everyone!!
Since having this procedure done I have not had one regret. I have remained active and I noticed everyday that I was able to do more things and keep up with my family more. My energy level is not always at the top, making sure I get my vitamins and proper food is still a struggle, but I know when I have forgot them or ate the wrong thing.
Hair loss is the only major thing that I have struggles with. Its growing back slowly, but talking with others I am learning this is normal, and in time It will all be back. (just dealing with those pesky fly away new hairs)
Make sure you are ready for a life change, before you do this. Remember this is not an easy quick fix. This creates a new normal. MY kids even had to learn that I don't or cant eat certain things and they now share their meals with me when we go out to eat.
But in the end with out the support of the family this would be a difficult journey.
