I was fortunate to have had the gastric sleeve procedure performed by Dr. Almanza. I have lost 120 pounds in 7 months. However, I did experience a few problems with electrolyte imbalance and reflux after the surgery due to my not taking in enough sugar free PowerAde and basically...food. So, my advice to readers is that you simply MUST keep hydrated, take a multivitamin, take B vitamins and drink your protein. I was so amazed with losing such a large volume of weight so quickly that I neglected to follow the post-surgical advice. I recently joined a gym and spa. I am wearing a size 10 bathing suit for the first time ever in a jacuzzi. I don't allow sugar, breads and processed foods in my home anymore. Eating more fruit and vegetables has really improved the clarity of my skin due to their anti-inflammatory nature. What fantastic, wonderful and healthy changes!
