To say the experience is life changing is an understatement. I have always battled my weight and due to numerous hip surgeries the option of activity was not always feasible. This began a vicious circle of gaining weight and doing less, before long the hips became an excuse to do less and so the cycle continued. I ve played the diet game and bought numerous gym memberships but it was never enough.
After seeing friends do this I decided I would too. Before I committed to it I lost 25lbs by reducing portion size and being conscious of what I ate. I knew I could continue to lose weight as emotionally I was ready, however I also knew that like before, it will come back.
I have no regrets and only wish I d done it sooner. Life is like it was for me 20+ years ago. I m pain free, I have more energy and I even still eat anything I want, just a lot less of it. I ve cut sugar out and don t do carbonated drinks but everything else i still eat. I ve lost 50 lbs since the surgery and am intentionally taking it slow so hopefully my skin will shrink with weight. So far so good!
The only negative thing I could possibly say is that I have a closet full of very mice clothes that are too big!! What a wonderful change!!
