I was a little skeptical at first, traveling to Mexico to have surgery. I am a Trauma Nurse in the Emergency Department where I live. I did a lot of research on the Gastric sleeve and Dr. Almanza. Unfortunately my insurance plan did not cover the procedure to have it done where I work. I was very pleased with the weight loss agents that made my surgery date a success. Dr. Almanza was amazing and his skills second to none. I made some friends on my weight loss journey and we continue to communicate via emails and Facebook often on our successful new lives. I was a type II diabetic going into the surgery and now I have been off my medications since surgery. I am 5 weeks post op and I have never felt better. I followed the post op diet and have had no issues with my eating or 35 pound weight loss. I just can't thank everyone enough for the awesome care I received and the fantastic medical staff that assisted me on my life changing event! I highly recommend Dr. Almanza and his Team.
