since my surgery, I have lost almost 90 pounds, from a size 20-22 to a size 10. My knees no longer hurt, I have so much more energy, and now exercise regularly. Since my eating habits changed my husband has also lost significant weight. I am off almost all meds for blood pressure and my cholesterol and blood sugar are great. It is really fun getting dressed now, and buying new clothes. Even shoes fit differently. If you are on the fence about this surgery, as I was, I mean I was down right scared, get off the fence, do it and take your life back. No more sitting home at night or dreading going places because nothing fits and you feel like a cow. I did all that, and it's all gone now and I still enjoy food, and cooking and going out, but it's cheaper to eat out now, since many times, we share a meal. There is no doubt it is a lifestyle change, but if you do it right and follow healthy eating habits, you will succeed. And it's quite easy, since I am never hungry, but yet still love the taste of the food I eat, who can ask for more than that, Also, I don't worry about putting the weight back on.
