It wasn't easy...the surgery is on your stomach, not your eyes or your mind, so there was an adjustment.....but it's one of the best decisions my husband and I made! I have lost 88 lbs, went from a size 18-20, down to now a size 8! I feel great! My aches and pains went away, I'm much more active, love my yoga, and am ok with the choice I made. I didn't have the strength to lose weight on my own. I had to do this surgery in order to be successful. Food is different now. I only eat what I need. I can have whatever I want, but a VERY SMALL portion, several times per day....and that works perfect for me. Food/eating isn't what I enjoy in life anymore, I enjoy living, being active, enjoying yoga, and looking forward to a longer, healthier lifestyle.
Dr. Almanza was great, and his staff took good care of us.
