I want to start off by saying that if I had it to do all over again I definitely would! I flew in on a Wednesday afternoon, with a friend that was also having the lap band, and we few out the next day. It was a little rushed but that was my fault. My only complaint with the entire process is that the nurses I came in contact during what I consider important times didn't speak English. I'm a nurse so at least I had basic knowledge of what was going on around me. The only suggestion I would make to anyone considering this procedure is to educate yourself for the life you will have after the procedure. Prepare yourself ahead of time for the different phases of post op diets. You will get very little instruction on diet, if any, after your surgery.
I had minimal pain after my surgery, except for the initial gas pain, and I was back to work in 3 days.
I never made it to the hotel because of my very short stay but I spoke with people that stayed there and nobody had any complaints.
