One year out and 100 pounds gone forever. This was a life changing experience! From the moment we spoke to a representative on the phone my sister and I (we took this journey together) knew we were in caring knowledgable hands. All of our fears and questions were taken care of. We carefully followed our pre and post op instructions. We were met by loving understanding staff who were sensitive to our concerns.

The faculty was bright and clean and full of busy people tending to everyone's needs. In addition to meeting all if our needs it is obvious that the staff is well looked after as well. Although they work long hours the staff is fed and looked after by dr. Almanza. This spirit of care giving took over our entire experience.

My sister and I did our recovering in the resort style hotel which had a full time nurse ready and waiting should we need anything or have any questions.

We often look back at our experience and marvel that we even took this plunge. We had zero problems and I was back to work the Monday after my Thursday surgery. I'm a principal in a busy urban school and couldn't miss the first day with students. Not a single problem faced me as I went back to school.

Now, a year later and I'm am full of energy with no knee or hip pain and off bp meds. It's the greatest gift I could have given myself. We eat any foods we want just very small amounts. We do focus on eating our protein first and find we just don't have the cravings for sweets and carbs like we used to.
