I was so scared to go to Mexico for my surgery. I didn't even buy flight insurance so that I couldn't back out. I was expecting the worst. The hospital was clean. The language barrier was not near as bad as I expected. Everyone was kind and helpful. I felt safe the entire stay. The only bad part of the trip was the wait in traffic to go back across the border and I slept through most of that. It has been a month since my surgery, I've lost 40 lbs and feel better every day. If you are putting off your surgery because of fear, you are wasting time!
