Sorry I have been late in giving my testimony. Doctor Almanza , his staff, nurses , hotel, attending physician at the hotel and of course Oscar were absolutely wonderful !!! The care before and after surgery was above board. I had my surgery 8/31 without any complications. My group of sleevers are and will remain dear friends. My flight home was a different story. I left for home 9/3 It was a 3 1/2 flight, change planes another 2 1/2 hours before landing home. I became very sick and didn't know if I could make it. My daughter picked me up at the airport, I was throwing up and my body was shaking. Unfortunately later that evening I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with a high fever and vomiting. This is where I spent the next 4 days ! The American Doctor was sure my sleeve was the culprit, after ct scans , xrays, more blood tests than I have ever had and iodine shot through my veins . My sleeve was not the trouble, as the doctor expressed " very good surgery on Dr. Almanza's part " It was determined I had a virus. I honestly feel the long plane ride home added to my dilemma. As of today I am gaining strength each day . To date I have lost 17 pounds just one more pound since pre op. I'm not giving up ! Thank you Dr. Almanza !!!!!!
