My husband and I came together to get the gastric sleeve surgery in January 2014, yes it was scary coming from the United States, but we felt that this type of surgery was needed to turn our life around and to enable us to improve our quality of life and to manage our medical struggles. I have lost over 180 pounds and my husband has lost 191 pounds and we are both so glad that we took the "leap" and went through with the surgery. Our medical issues have all disappeared, and from an appearance standpoint, it is so nice to feel pretty again and to feel like I did when I was in my 20's!
