I waited to provide a testimonial until I had time to completely heal and also until my weight stabilized. It has taken awhile to be comfortable with my new diet. However, the results have been worth the trouble. I have lost approximately 40 pounds after the surgery. Combine that with my pre-surgery diet and loss of about 10 pounds I'm down about 50 pounds total. I have good energy and can walk up a hill without losing my breath. Some of the activities I like to participate in were becoming a challenge. for example, I enjoy bicycling and golf. Getting on the bicycle was losing its fun because it was just too much work. I enjoy the exertion now and I find myself cruising up the hills that I could barely climb before or even had to walk up. I get lots of compliments from people that haven't seen me in awhile and they are always amazed when they see me. I definitely recommend the procedure if you are ready to make a change in your life and need help beyond what you really can do on your own. Dr. Almanza is a good surgeon and has done thousands of procedures so there were no complications. I would also like to give a good shout out of gratitude for the medical staff. All of them were the best. The medical staff at the hotel were extremely professional and kind. They definitely went out of their way to make sure that everyone was well-cared for and had all their questions answered. My health insurance wouldn't cover the procedure and so when I found the weightloss agents I was both excited and skeptical. I had a consultation with my primary care physician and he was actually familiar with them and had other patients go there previously. All had good experiences.
