Starting at around 400+lbs preop, it was time for a successful and lasting change. Currently, I m down 27 since surgery and 84 total. The process was challenging but I m so glad that I made the choice I did to go through with it. WLA was a good resource. I was skeptical because of problems others have had but my experience from arriving to SAN until being dropped back off at SAN was seamless. The nurses were top notch. When I compared my experience to my mom s experience, the doctors/nurses/staff took precautions for the better for me than they did for her and she had her surgery through someone else in LAS. Hahahaha. I would say it was a great experience and I would do it again but I m not going to ever be in a position to do it ever again. I still have a long ways to go but I am a better me than I was 6 weeks ago. Good luck. You deserve this. You deserve to be happy and healthy.
