My best friend and I went to Mexico for the gastric sleeve surgery on November 14th (Thursday). I was back at work the following Tuesday no problem. It is now January 3rd, less than 2months since surgery and I am down 42 pds and my friend is down 46 pds. I have 20 pads to go to reach my goal weight! We really don't follow the recommended diet and eat pretty much anything with the exception of only getting about 3 to 5 bites in at a sitting then we are full. We have found that certain foods are a definite no no as our bodies simply reject them and make you so nauseous that you choose never to try it again. The hospital was very clean and staff were great, no complaints. It is painful for about 2 days after surgery due to the gas but really no big deal. I have only one regret like many others and that is I should have done this 10 yrs ago. I feel great and can finally look in the mirror and smile. Thank you Jeruselum Hospital for being affordable and safe!
