I was diabetic, 375lbs, high BP, on fluid pills and just not able to do what a 36 year old should be able to. My Dr. had been telling me I needed to have surgery, but not having insurance left me unable to even consider it. I finally started searching for a way to have it cheaper. I came across Jerusalem hospital and Dr. Almonza through a Google search and followed up with some who had already had the Gastric Sleeve. After my research I really felt good about it, and paid my deposit in May 2012 and set the date for my surgery. Alot of family and friends thought I was crazy for having surgery in Mexico, but I can say it was the Greatest Choice I Ever Made. I am now 7 months out and am down 113lbs to 262lbs... I am no longer diabetic, no High BP, no meds at all except a prilosec.... It has changed my life... Still losing slowly and loving it... This surgery is the tool to lose the weight and keep it off..... If you are considering it... DO IT... The hospital staff and Dr. were awesome and other than nausea I had no issues.... Greatest Choice I Ever Made...
