I am 5 days post op from a gastric sleeve. The efficiency of the process is quite amazing! You can tell they have this down to a tee! Everything went really well with the surgery. The one thing I would say to you...BRING YOUR OWN PAIN MEDS and ANTI-NAUSEA! If you dont, you will suffer. The pain meds they give you may be one notch above baby aspirin. It is really crappy. If I had the right pain meds before the trip, it would have been a different story. Also, for the love of all that is holy...FOLLOW your PREOP diet!! This prepares you for the one week after surgery of straight clear liquids. I heard a lot of people deviating from this plan the first couple of days after surgery and they paid the price for it. Just do your research and make sure you know exactly what they are going to to. Otherwise, this was the best decision I made!
