I was sleeved on April 9, 2015 by Dr. Almanza. I was comfortable from the moment I got to the facility. My husband did go with me which probably was not even necessary but I did like having a private room which you do not get if you go alone.

My weight when I started my 3 day pre-op diet was 219 lbs (I'm 5'8"). My weight today is 192 lbs. I have not been able to get under 200 lbs in a long time no matter what I tried. I am happily down 27 lbs in just 30 days which is shocking and I feel great.

I feel better than I have in many years with so much more energy. I sleep good at night, full of energy during the day and being self conscious of my body is lessening every day.

Getting sleeved was the best decision I ever made. I researched the gastric sleeve and medical tourism for 3 years before choosing Dr. Almanza and am happy with that decision. I have had zero complications and really had no down time after the surgery. I work from home so my surgery was on a Thursday and Monday I was working. I went to my primary care doctor here in California to have my stitches out and my own personal doctor gave Dr Almanza a compliment on how good the incisions healed and what a good job he did with the sutures which will eventually have very little to almost unnoticeable scarring.

I must also include the nurses at the hotel. Every one them was nice, compassionate and really knew what they were doing. I highly recommend Dr Almanza.
