After going down the rabbit hole of Facebook groups, Tik Toks and Instagram stories, I finally mustered up the courage to book with Dr. Mario Almanza in Tijuana, Mexico. LET ME TELL YOU! From the time I arrived until the time I left, the service was top notch. I literally did not lift a finger. The hardest part was settling my mind, as I was very skeptical about traveling "blind", not knowing what to expect. The facility is on a compound (looks like a clean resort) and I felt like I had my own nurse. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The morning of my surgery our team prayed, I laid on the table and it seemed like a quick surgery. Immediately after, I felt pressure but NEVER felt pain, gas or nausea (YAY). I was up walking every hour, and after a day of recovery our driver brought us across the border back to the airport and I was home safe and sound. I truly believe that this team is the best at what they do. I have had 5 friends do this surgery spanning since right after COVID until last year, and they all look great with no complications. I'm grateful to be on the list as well with this experience.
