Fear and uncertainty were 2 of the many emotions I felt the day I had the gastric sleeve performed.I also felt very excited thinking about what my life would be like 50 pounds less.
I am 6 months out and just bought new jeans that are a size 4. I tried to convince myself that they were sized incorrectly bur they aren't. My brain hasn't caught up with my new fantastic body yet.
I still have days that I feel like a fat girl. I just take a peek in the mirror and see that it's just not so.
I didn't have as much weight to lose as some but I felt just as bad as they did. I love getting out now, not to mention the increased energy level.
It's the best thing I've ever done for myself.
I've also made some very good friends along the way. I have absolutely no regrets. It has changed me into the confident happy person buried under the fat that is now forever gone!
