Removing the lapband and doing a sleeve was the best decision I made. The lap band worked great .for the first 2 years and then it never worked right for me. My friend used Dr. Almanza and had a great experience. I was banded in Mexico so I wasn't as nervous about going, and I am so glad I did it. Dr. Almanza was professional and my experience was good. His staff was knowledgable. I never felt unsafe. While you are definitely out of your comfort zone you quickly realize it's nothing to be afraid of. Having all the other patients around you is comforting and it's nice to hear their experiences.
I would highly recommend both the procedure and Dr. Almanza.
